In the past he also was the clinical lead for thyroid and head and neck surgery and the clinical lead for facial plastic surgery at University hospital Lewisham, London. He is an internationally renowned facial plastic surgeon, specializing in aesthetic plastic and reconstructive surgery of the face, head and neck, as well as the treatment of facial skin cancers.. He holds the fellowship of The Royal College of Surgeons of England and Edinburgh and also dual certification by the European as well as the International Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. In addition to this, he is the Editor-in-chief for the peer reviewed ‘Facial Plastic Surgery Journal’ by Thieme publishers. Mr D’Souza publishes extensively, research and review articles in peer-reviewed medical journals and has authored several textbook chapters.

He is an invited speaker to both national and international conferences and is an examiner for postgraduate examinations both in ENT (otolaryngology) and Facial Plastic Surgery. He is a dedicated teacher and is the founder of London Medical Courses, which runs ENT courses for GP’s and facial plastic surgery courses for trainees and consultants. His fellowship programme provides super-specialist training in Facial Plastic Surgery to suitably qualified surgeons from around the world.
