The educational wing of my practice offers a comprehensive fellowship programme for suitably qualified surgeons from the UK, Europe and around the world. Registration with general medical council (GMC UK), is essential to start the fellowship. The training is offered for a period of 9-12 months under the auspices of European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery. The fellows are expected to sit the board examinations in London or Washington DC on completion of their fellowship following which they may be eligible for board certification.
The fellow will gain significant experience in procedures which include, but not limited to, primary and secondary rhinoplasty surgery, pinnaplasty, facelift and necklift, forehead lift, brow-lift, blepharoplasty, facial skin cancer excision and reconstruction, facial lasers as well as injectables in the face. The fellow is also expected to attend all the training courses provided by Professor D’Souza as part of training. Research and publication work are an intrinsic part of the training programme, and the fellow is expected to publish at least two papers in peer reviewed journals during the time in fellowship.
Interested candidates may apply for the fellowship through EAFPS.org. For information on the fellowship you may contact my office directly. Please note that all direct (not through the EAFPS route) applications are processed two years in advance because of the high number of applicants.
